Established as a sole proprietorship in 1986, William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP presently operates as a Limited Liability Partnership under its partners William F. Collins, AIA, Thomas R. Turkel, AIA, and Steven R. Saraniero, AIA. WFC is currently ranked second among the top ten largest architectural firms on Long Island and we have recently expanded our offices to provide local coverage in New York City, White Plains, and Florida as well. As a business, we understand that relationships are important; that's why we depend on repeat business for the majority of our work. We provide all of our clients with services that are appropriate to their needs, including a full range of architectural and engineering design and consulting services, as well as, real estate assessments, strategic planning/post merger planning and program management.
WFC is proud of its record of providing innovative design while building successful long-term repeat relationships with all of our clients. As a group of over 70 professionals who "walk the walk" of service and design excellence, we never forget the importance of maintaining client confidence in everything we do. Throughout its sixteen-year history, WFC has benefited and grown from the many sustained client relationships we have formed. The value of the service WFC provides to their clients is best measured by the consistently high ratio of repeat clientele and the numerous term contracts we have been awarded.
Throughout our entire history, WFC has continuously provided high quality Architectural and Engineering Consulting Services to our very first client, Verizon, known formerly as New York Telephone Co., NYNEX, and later, Bell Atlantic. During this time we have successfully completed over three thousand projects for Verizon. This long-term relationship has provided us with valuable, in-depth knowledge of the culture and infrastructure of the industry and has taught us the importance of maintaining total commitment and dedication to our clients over the long haul. WFC places great emphasis on the value of all the sustained relationships we have forged throughout our existence. As is evidenced by our long standing relationships with Fortune 500 clients like Verizon, KeySpan Energy, AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Nextel Communications, Sprint PCS, and T-Mobile, WFC relies on repeat business for the majority of our work and attribute our success to providing personalized service, with as much focus on our process as our product.
How has WFC managed to become the second largest architectural firm on Long Island while maintaining such a low profile?
We take pride in the fact that our tremendous growth was borne not out of some brilliant marketing or business development scheme, but rather the benefits of having built a foundation of solid performance, integrity and unmatched knowledge of our clients’ inner workings and expectations. As WFC continues to evolve, expanding to meet our clients needs in an increasingly global market place, we are committed to maintaining the same grit, intensity, determination, and competitive edge, which has brought us to where we are. As a highly adaptive niche firm, we take a lean, disciplined approach to growth, pursuing only those individuals with the talent and skills needed to add value to the firm, while developing in-house leadership for tomorrow. We believe the danger in thinking like a big company is the inherent bureaucracy and encumbrances that follow. In a market where flexibility, agility and responsiveness are becoming increasingly critical, less is in fact, more.
