Bill founded William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP out of the belief that the process through which one creates architecture is a critical path in achieving balanced solutions which transcend client expectations. His leadership and hands on approach has forged a culture at William F. Collins AIA Architects, LLP in which long standing client relationships are the foundation for how we practice architecture.
Maintaining a high level of involvement in various projects enables Bill to sustain the interaction required of such repeat clients as Verizon, ADP, KeySpan Energy, AT&T Wireless Services and Nextel Communications.
Bill has crafted his extensive design abilities throughout his twenty years in the profession, designing and managing large-scale commercial and corporate buildings and renovations. This body of work includes such national award winning projects as The Humana Headquarters Building with Michael Graves, The University of West Virginia Alumni Center, and the Clos Pegase Winery in Calistoga, California.

THOMAS R. TURKEL, AIA
As a partner at William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP, Tom brings a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise to bear on all projects. This level of understanding was developed throughout his thirty-three years of practice in architecture.
His depth of knowledge of buildings and facilities for the corporate client is predicated on his fourteen years as an architect culminating as manager of architecture and engineering for a national design-build company. This experience ranged from corporate office renovations to the development and construction of new buildings and telecommunications facilities.
Tom’s ability to work closely with clients in program development and, to interface with the individual user components within a client’s organization, ensures a comprehensive solution, which exceeds the project goals.

STEVEN R. SARANIERO, AIA
As the firm’s newest partner at William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP, Steven’s fourteen years of wide ranging experience in a variety of corporate commercial and telecommunications projects is a definite asset to those clients requiring state of the art knowledge and expertise in planning and design.
In addition to his leadership as the “Single Point Contact” for the Verizon account, Steven oversees the communication infrastructure planning and design for Verizon Wireless, Nextel, and Northcoast Communications.
Steven’s past experience also includes planning and design for retail banking and financial operations facilities including: offices for First Card Services, Chase Manhattan NA, Chemical Bank, Manufacturers Hanover, NatWest and Home Savings of America.
The pro-active design philosophy embodied in his design solutions has garnered the unwavering support of his clients.

NEIL MACDONALD, AIA
Neil’s fundamental approach as the firm's Senior Associate is simple: develop a keen understanding of your client’s inner workings, capabilities and needs. Apply this knowledge to achieve a balanced solution in which the elements of quality design, budget and schedule are carefully crafted into a space that projects a positive image of the client. As the principle contact for the KeySpan Energy, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint PCS accounts, Neil employs this service-oriented approach to build sustained, mutually beneficial relationships.
Neil’s background includes twelve years of experience in the design and renovation of a variety of retail and corporate facilities for clients such as KeySpan, Chase, Chemical Bank, European American Bank, and The Dime Savings Bank. His experience proved instrumental in developing strategies for the post-merger planning and consolidation of Chase and Chemical Bank as well as LILCO and Brooklyn Union.
Neil brings his full range of management skills to accomplish two goals on every project: a complete value added project and a “repeat client” relationship.

GARY SHUMWAY
Gary brings to William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP significant experience in managing diverse facility space portfolios for a major telecommunications company. While at Nynex, he managed an entire space portfolio of nearly 100 locations, comprising over two million square feet. His consolidation strategies and cost reduction initiatives resulted in the termination of over a quarter million square feet and the return of enormous revenue to Nynex.
Since joining William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP, Gary has applied this experience as Director of Planning in developing space plans in support of lease terminations for Verizon. Additionally, his extensive experience in developing telecommunications facilities equipment plans has aided Verizon in determining size and scope of numerous central office digital switch, fiber, Power and Emergency Engine projects.
Gary’s thirty-three years of experience in real estate asset management within the corporate environment has added invaluably to the range of diversified services William F. Collins, AIA Architects, LLP provides.
